Using a jacket for your Wii remote will not affect the way it works.

The jackets have been around since the beginning, haven't they? I hope I'm thinking of the right thing.

Those rubbery sleeves that slide over the remote are considered jackets, right?

I think some sort of "jacket" came with my Wii when I bought one a few months ago. It definitely didn't look like the jacket in the picture above, though.

But yeah, I wouldn't expect it to affect gameplay or anything. It looks sort of awkward to hold, though.

i know thias post is a little stale, but thought I'd clarify anyway. Nintendo released these as a free add-on. I ordered 4 from nintendo and didnt have to pay a dime, no s&h even. Ive had them for a while now, and they are comfortable to use, and dont affect gameplay one bit. The only thing is, you have to peel back the jacket's bottom half from the controller so you can charge them if you have the nyko 2 controller charge station. Not a bit deal. I thin the jackets are shipped with wii's now though.
