Tales of Symphonia: The Dawn of a new World

(AKA Tales of Symphonia 2, Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk)

Anyone else waiting for the release of this game? Personally, I cannot wait until it comes out, as I loved the original Tales of Symphonia and it's cast of characters.

I'm also really excited about the battle system and the fact that you'll be able to play as characters from the original tales of symphonia. =]

I'm really curious about Lloyd's role in the game though, I really wanna be able to play as him. I'd become horribly irritated if he pulled an asch or just wasn't playable at all :(

Wikipedia says that Marta and Emil are hunting Lloyd because he's indirectly responsible for their respective parent's deaths. Really puts a damper on my thoughts of Marta and Emil already.

I really can't wait for this game, but I don't have a Wii :[ but the second I get one, this is No.1 on my list.

My only disappointment on this game is that you won't be able to have Kratos as a playable character, he only narrates the story (at least that's what I heard). But Regal is there, so I have no problem.

I wouldn't worry, we all know Lloyd's a good guy.

I would defiantly get this game for the battle system alone if it's anything like the original. The story and characters weren't that bad either so should prove great overall, I just hope that the VA for Lloyd and Colette has improved.

Not too sure if the older characters will be playable though sadly, I've heard it's a whole new cast.

Well... that's kind of odd since they put Kratos on one of the Drama CDs.

hahaha, didn't see your post there.

I never did mind Lloyd's voiceover too much, though. Perhpas it's because I enjoy his upbeat attitude and the fact he kicks ass with dual swords.

But so far I've heard nothing about english voice actors for the game. D :

Addressing the last bit; There may be some new characters, but there are a few screenshots floating around with Zelos and Colette in your party, though I've yet to see Zelos' battle model. D'=

Lloyd's model looked absolute sex, though. 8D

Thanks for that, the game look pretty damn sweet. That Pokemon like element where you can use defeated monsters as party members sounds interesting.

Also one of the screens gives the hint that Zelos will be a playable character which is promising.

I've heard the world map isn't returning...which is a huge downer for me. Instead, players navigate from place to place using a point and click method with the Wii remote.

I'm hoping Marta and Emil aren't the only playable characters. I've heard you can capture monsters and train them to fight alongside you in battle. I'm afraid that'll end up being their excuse for not giving us more playable characters.

I heard that all the playable characters from the old game will be playable in this one, it could just be a rumour though ><

I'm looking forward to this game as I really enjoyed the first ToS =]

I just hope Colettes VA has changed ><

Sounds odd to me. XD

It's probably something that I'll never touch, as I lurve my ToS characters.

new characters, or are you referring to old ones? There's screenshots on the sites i posted links to that have pictures of Zelos, Presea, Genis, Raine, and a few other characters in the status area in-battle. Hell, there's even a screenshot of Sheena in-battle.

I wasn't sure if free run was going to be implemented, but I went to altavista.com and used the translator to translate that page, and it says that free run will be implemented and be used by pressing Z. also says we'll be able to Guard and Attack while moving in different directions. <3

Oooooh, kickass! Good stuff right there. New or old characters. I was just hoping Marta and Emil wouldn't be the only ones. Glad to see familiar faces in battle. :]
