Super Smash Bros. Brawl Problem.

I got the game for my Wii recently, and my big brother played nearly til the end of the game, finishing off almost each stage perfectly.
Problem is that my little brother accidentally overwrote the save file of my big brother's, which caused him to cry a lot.
The question is, can you redo the save file back to a previous one? It would be a great help if someone actually knew about redoing a save file.
Anyone know?

This has happened to me once or twice before and it's always a pain in the arse. I imagine that you can't revert back to a previous save state so you're pretty buggered there I'm afraid. I would suggest that you save two copies of the file to avoid this happening again in the future.
