Mario Kart Wii
What can I say - Wow. What a game this is, I went out and got more controllers just for this game, four player games are mayhem. Definately the best one yet, Ive unlocked three characters so far - Rosalina, Diddy Kong and King Boo, I cant wait to unlock the rest. Stunts in this game is a great addition, instead of just riding along you now have to find your best route for stunts as every time you perform one you get an additional boost.
Anyone else played it?

I haven't had the opportunity to play this game yet. It isn't really on the top of my "To-get" list. The stunts sound pretty cool.
Is there Wifi?

Yes there is an online mode. If there isn't some cheap shit like snaking possible then it should be pretty awesome, only thing that ruined the class DS version for me.
Still not too sure about the whole bike/stunt thing going on. Need to play it myself before judging that one.

If there's Wifi, I'll probably give it a shot. I love the Mario Kart series.
Still...something about this Mario Kart game puts me off. I dunno what it is. haha

It's the gimmicks they've put in this that are off-putting, Double Dash looked solid and was great but this just looks lacklustre in comparison.
Also those fucking Blue Shells are still in it. ¬¬

Well said. The motorbikes, stunts and control scheme aren't appealing. Hell, Mario Kart Wii looks like a predecessor to Double Dash. I hope the gamecube controller is compatible with the game.
And why the hell did they bring those goddamn blue shells back? I doubt anybody (except those who routinely race in last place) likes that item.

I played it round my friends house last night, the motorbikes are awesome, and yes, Gamecube controllers work with it. Thank god, steering with the Wii remote / wheel wasn't too appealing tbh.

Wifi lets you play against 12 other players at a time. The wii controller is great for steering, I couldnt go back to a normal control for this game now.
I hate those blue shells but if you press accelerate just as you hit the ground you get a boost and this negates the effect of the blue shell - pretty cool.
