Harvest Moon

I hope this thread isn't somewhere else... Anyway, who out there will admit to being addicted to one of these games. I played Wonderful Life, Wonderful Life SE, Magical Melody, Friends of Mineral Town, Harvest Moon DS, and Rune Factory. I'd have to say my least favorite was WLSE(soooooooo slow) and my favorite would be either Rune Factory or Friends of Mineral Town (I had all the sprites working all day to feed all my animals, water my entire field, and harvest massive loads of crops and all for only one bag of flour each, a day

.) This series is a hate/love kind of thing (or so I've heard/experienced) so this should be interesting.

I've only played two...the SNES game & Friends of Mineral Town...I dunno, I didn't like Friends of Mineral Town much...maybe I'd have to look into it more or something...I think I may have been intimidated by everything. Plus, I was going through better games so I just got rid of it for the time being...*shrugs* It looked like it would have eaten up too much of my gaming time...

The only one I've played is the one you don't like. I only tried it because my friend had it and her sister loved it O_o but playing that game alone put me off to the series...not that I was ever on it.

i have this game for GBA and i think it is really quite good, i only have one sprite working for me though and he gets one pot of honey a day. but i have recently stopped playing it as i found my PSP charger

IK have Save the Homeland and no sprites work for me ;^; I do have a prettah poneh though 8D

i have been thinking about starting a new game for a while but i need some ideas on what is the best crop to plant and what animals make you the most money. i used to have like 2 cows 1 sheep and 7 Chikens but that was ages ago and i haven't played it since then

You mean either Friends of Mineral Town or More Friends of Mineral Town, right(as far as I know those are the only GBA titles)?

Generally I've found the renewable crops to be the best. In FoMT, cucumbers, strawberries, tomatos, corn, eggplants, sweet potatoes, pineapples and green peppers regrow but only cucumbers(spring), tomatoes(summer), corn(summer), eggplants(fall), and sweet potatoes(fall) are available to start with. Animal wise, cows are the most economic choice(when you can afford them) followed by chickens then sheep(in FoMT anyway.) I would suggest mining and gathering(stuff on the mountain) after you finish farm chores and such to get extra money(and ore to upgrade tools.)
