I might have to invest in it, make my DS worthwhile, although I hope it doesn't require the mic, mine got wine on it >.>

Wow, nice! It's nice to see S.E. going "back to basics", just like they did in IX. SE sure is working on lots of games.... the F.N.C. compilation, FFXIV, Blood of Bahamut, maybe others too, and now this!

Seeing those images, my enthusiasm for this game just dropped drastically. The graphics look very crude and primitive compared to Square's other DS games, and I'm not liking their choice of colours at all.

I agree, the artwork before the images released left me feeling alright about it.
But now it just looks like a cross between Crystal Chronicles-come-Animal Crossing, and the gameplay video itself just looks like Animal Crossing

Hey give credit where it's due. Animal Crossing looks much better than that

Honestly I don't know what went wrong here. Most of Square's previous DS games looked very good the format taken into consideration, and the new Dragon Quest looks downright stunning for a DS game.
