  • @Salmakia, I am def going to play 9 since I have the game... After FFX-2 of course. I hope FF9 is as great as you say! I'm looking forward to something after X-2 because I am going to need a special something to take my heart back from FFX/FFX-2! I'll have to find a copy of FF6 somewhere though. I soft modded my PS2, and I have downloaded a crazy amount of games, burned them and they are ready to be played. So 6 might end up on the back burner until later lol Maybe I can download and burn FFVI? Not sure if PS1 games will work with FreeMCBoot and ESR though. There's probably a work around. I'll have to look into it!
As for FFVIII, it has a beautiful love story. The cast aren't quite as consistent as the cast in FFIX and X, but there are still a number of characters who you'll fall in love with! What's more, Edea, the 'villain,' seems like your average wicked witch at first, but somewhere within disc 3, everything changes! She becomes highly intriguing! She's my second favourite FF villain after Caius. ;)

You should try FFIV and VI too! :gasp:
Final Fantasy VIII and IX are utterly fantastic! You certainly are missing out. ;) A few days ago, I would have placed IX after FFX, VIII and XIII-2, but now I feel it's on par with them! :)

I resumed my game in FFIX earlier today actually and was amazed by the characters! I had forgotten just how lovable they are. Zidane, Garnet, Vivi, Steiner and Beatrice are ths strongest, but even Freya, Eiko and Quina have their moments! They are all so 'human' - you can empathise with them. The story is quite incredible too. Kuja isn't the best villain in the series, but he's better than Seymour in FFX. ;) The world in IX is utterly fantastic! One of my favourite because of its medeival setting. The game contains those random battles and the standard turn-based battle system, but I really enjoy those. :)
