  • Cosplayers are strange, but strange people are best. It takes quite a lot of fanaticism and courage to dress up as a fictional character. Through experience, I have found that cosplayers have a much more loud and distinct personalities than normal people. They can be much more fun and interesting to be around, however because they have much bigger personalities, they don't quite mesh well with other cosplayers at times.
I hear ya, cosplay is EXPENSIVE and for most people a very vain hobby where people are over critical. I happen to cosplay characters that I don't even remotely look like or even have the body for just out of love for the character. Yet it's only the characters I look like that people notice me in. Down where I am, people just know me as that Aeris cosplayer and granted that's the only cosplay I have shown on this site because it's relative to Final Fantasy, sometimes I wish cosplay weren't so vain. I cosplay because it makes me happy, I can for one day be looked upon as the character which I am cosplaying and forget about whatever realities are troubling my real life in that one day. If I can at least make one person smile by being in character in that one day, I feel like I accomplished a great deed.
Same here, though I occasionally like to still watch TOS Star Trek every now and then. That and instead of my ps3, I mainly game on my xbox360 simply for the fact I have a larger friend list on my x360 than my ps3. Other than that I waste my time on cosplays and planning for conventions and such. Working out sometimes isn't fun, but is crucial to staying healthy. I often try to run 5 miles a day, but with the GA heat wave breaking our heat records, I have yet to do so this past week.
I miss the good shows like Buffy, Smallville, and Charmed now. Makes me want to watch them all now just talking about Buffy. I wish we had good young adult shows like that now.
I liked how Spike came off as a villain in the beginning and how you could see his changes throughout the series itself until he became a good guy. Angel wasn't so bad. I only disliked him once he got his own show. I can't quite point out why I hated his show so much though.
Honestly I am not a fan of Angel. Buffy was always my favorite, then Spike. Angel annoyed me, can't exactly pinpoint why he did though.
:D I agree, saying Lollipop Chainsaw is sexist is like say Buffy the Vampire Slayer is sexist. Both are cute cheerleaders who kick serious butt.
I was thinking it looked pretty amazing. Most my girl gamer friends are like trying to boycott it. I just say they are jealous. I don't find the game very sexist at all from what I have seen. What interested me was that Dawn of the Dead's James Gunn was helping writing it.
I am doing alright. Just been hanging it low key today. I can't wait til all the craziness dies down, yet it will be all worth it! :D And you? How have you been?
Ok. I'll be on in about 15 minutes.

If Greeny is on then we can play with him too.
Heya, I'm doing okay thanks. I'm still a little tired, but my cold has pretty much disappeared (at long last!). I'm in work tonight and for all of tomorrow, but have Sunday and Monday off, which I'm looking forward to. Reading, writing and gaming is in order; on Monday, I am going to collect my car, which is fixed! :yay:

    How are you?
    :wacky:

No, sir-e-bob. :licky: I am the blabber queen. I can make a thought the length of a single sentence stretch into a few paragraphs. I win :mokken:
Please, I'm a blabber mouth. :mokken: from the moment I get up I'm a ball of spontaneous jabbering! :hmph: !
