Mitsuki

The quotation Mitsuki likes to use, an aspiring graphic artist residing in Southern California. She’s a realist in her own ways, art being a big passion. Mitsuki calls herself a jack of all trades, ranging from traditional art, digital art, and photography.

A cool fact to start this interview with is that she started back in 2007 and has now created over 300 signatures, avatars, icons, wallpapers and banners. She’s personally one of those artists you say “You” to. Admiration for her graphic art is only a simple way of putting it. A truly inspirational artist, and we get the chance to have a detailed one on one chat.

Welcome to yet another update on Spira's GFX Section!

Let me start by saying that I am extremely proud of our GFX community. We’ve hit a low point with activity for a while now, but it seems that we’re slowly making our way back up. For example, the callout section has been pretty booming this week! SOTW having a total amount of 6 entries, while it’s been hitting 3 or 4 at the most for a while. If that doesn’t scream “Activity!”, I don’t know what does.

Eclectic Artistry, while on hold for a short amount of time, has now gained a new Clan leader. I would like to take a moment to welcome Galadín to the Clan leading team, even though she has already been working hard on revamping EA since the day she started! Talk about being inspirational and dedicated!

These are just some of the things you come across as a Graphic Artist. Here on the Final Fantasy Forums we have some amazing and inspiring artists who either just started, or have been doing what they do best for many years. I want to take the time to interview one of our very own; Big Casino.

Big Casino, a 23 year old - graphic art design ‘hobbyist’. With a recognizable style that sometimes has a very (sub)urban, vectored look, Big Casino, also known as Lewis, has been around on this forum since early 2007. An inspiration to a lot of people on this forum and a good mentor, helping those that just started.

When I joined this forum, I found myself intrigued by the vibrancy and ‘out there’ style of work. Every piece showed superb composition, teasing colours that brought the attention to every single detail that had been put in, and let’s not even get started about the sharp eye for lighting. In fact... We should get started.

With a lot of feedback from our graphics community I've been able to put together a solid piece of news for our well known section in Spira. So, allow me to say thank you to all of those that gave me their suggestions, feedback and even encouraged the idea to write news articles for the GFX section to begin with.

We couldn't have picked a better time to start with the GFX news... As the time for cracking your knuckles with ending semesters is coming around - all has taken a slow but steady pace in the GFX section which has given us the time to clean out the sections, merge, move and make sure that the sections are properly divided, giving you a clear view of what goes on 'where' in Spira.
