If you mean Medusa, the boss, then yeah. I usually use a Warrior/White Mage/Black Mage/Red Mage combo for this, but sometimes I use an all-melee team just for fun.
Anyways, you'd better be safe if you haven't played this game before and have two people with healing magic. I think only one person will have Cura at this point, so use those carefully. You can get Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga in a hidden room in the Viking base (look that up). Give those to your black mage. You'll want to save all your Antarctic Winds, Bomb Fragments, and such for this fight (save a few winds for the next boss). Use those as they work extremely well, use Lv3 black magic, and have your warrior pound away with two swords after that. Have one of your healers cast Cure on the entire party (R button) every round. Also, be at least lv12 or 13. After that, it's mostly just not getting petrified during the fight, as there's no Gold Needles till after the fight.
Good luck!
