If in doubt, leave Atlantica until the very end of the game. Guaranteed, you will have to come back after -every- song, so it's better to just flow with the game and then do all of the side quests. It's compulsory to get Magnet/Magnera anyway, so don't worry, you'll get it at some point.

I would personally do all the other worlds first, then when u get 2 the end go 2 Atlantica. This will make the game seem longer if u don't want it 2 end.

The first 'round, I played through Atlantica gradually as far as I could. Probably because I wanted to get through it as fast as possible. Ghastly world, it is...
As said, the Magnet spells become available as you progress through the main story. Completing worlds is the key.
Hah, "key." I crack myself up sometimes... (I wish I did, anyway).

Heh..heh... I got magnet. Apparently you automatically get it after you complete Halloween Town. That's what i get for playing it un-guided...
