1000 Heartless battle
I was wondering. How many people used the Reaction Commands to kill the 1000 Heartless vs just hacking and slashing through them. Personally, I love games like Dyansty Warriors, where you just charge into a hoard of enemies and rape them, so I shunned Reaction Commands for this battle.

I used reaction commands because it was a little faster, and it looked nice. I'm not the kind of person to sit back and hack and slash through a thousand heartless continuously and break my fingers. xP

I used reaction commands. It's not as if the battle is substantially more difficult if you refrain from using the commands. Personally, I wasn't interested in killing the same Heartless for half an hour. I wanted to get it over with.

Yep, I used the reaction commands, it's fun to be amongst that many enemies, but a real killer on the fingers so the sooner they're dead the better. Why put in extra effort if you don't get anything for it?

I would just use reaction commands and occasionally switch to hack and slash when I got bored, then after I killed a few by hacking and slashing I just switched back to reaction commands.

I used the reaction commands, I pretty much just mashed the triangle button the whole way through. The battle lasted long enough as it is. There was no way I was gunna prolong the agony
PLus the reaction commands looked cool

What he said.
The 1000 Heartless battle was easily the most disappointing thing in KH2. From the...what was it anyway, trailers? The vidya with the Behemoth leading a horde of Heartless down the valley. I was expecting something fantastically epic like that, but not only was the Behemoth NOWHERE to be found in the game, you only fought two types of Heartless. And they weren't even difficult types either!
So yeah, I mostly used reaction commands because the battle was just boring. Every now and then I'd stop and bash on them with the keyblade, but that was just as easy and took too long.
...Dynasty Warriors is much more fun when it comes to mindless hacking and slashing and large battles, too.

I automatically used Reaction Comands without thinking, but I'd like to try to fight the 1000 Heartless without using it in at least one play through ^^
Although, judging by the last couple of heartless I defeated, if you managed to get past Demyx, then these guys shouldn't be too hard to do defeat

I disliked the 1000 heartless battle altogether. To me it just took KH2's button mashing to a whole new level and I basically just used reaction commands to hasten the battle so that I could get it over and done with because there was nothing whatsoever to make me want to make the battle go on longer. It was tedious really =[ .

I was expecting some sort of epic battle as well. The trailer shows a horde of Heartless with two Behemoths in the mix. What do we get when the final product releases? A bunch of wussy Heartless who attack in waves. There's 1,000 of 'em, but really, you're only fighting a dozen at a time. No Behemoths, no challenge, no fun. Definitely disappointing.
