Timeline?
This is about Kingdom Hearts, in general, so this should be okay in this forum. I'm currently writing a fan-fic focusing on Riku, 3rd person view. I plan to write a novelisation for each game, but from Riku's side. However, before that, I'm filling in the gaps. I've come to a dead-end.
I'm in between the events of Kingdom Hearts and the events of Chain of Memories. For me to write a realistic amount in this time period, I need to know how it was before the events of CoM took place. I thought it might be immediate, because KH ends the same way CoM starts, but I'm not too sure. The game-box doesn't say, neither does the manual. I also have the same problem with Kingdom Hearts II - what's the timeline between CoM and KHII?

So basically you are asking for the time period between the three KH games right, though because sora was sleeping through CoM and also his memories were whipped clean, then it is a little more confuseing isn't though i think it is two - one years KH2 takes place after KH1 and the CoM is what happens between, because Riku was 15 in KH1 and is now 17 in KH2 as well as Sora who was 14 in KH1 is now 16 in KH2 as well as Kairi but you get the idea, i don't know what you are asking though i hope this answers your question Riku

Yea you can't answer that I think CoM happened after KH2 because he slept through all of the stuff in KH2 and he had his memories wiped so there is no time. The only thing you can use is his clothes because in CoM he wears the same clothes as in KH1 but in KH2 they don't fit so you can kind of take that fact and make up a reasonable amount of time between. I still think they just messed up and added CoM in there without a place.

I would say...about a month? Maybe 2? Seriously, not that much time could have passed, seeing as they pretty much started out right off the bat after KH1, right?

no sora is 15 in kh2
in kh1 he is 14 then staright after he beats ansem he runs off to find riku and ends up at castle oblivion (still 14)
then after the events of com namine put him into pod and restores his memories
i think i took around a year until sora fully reganed his memories

Are you sure about that? i know that riku is 17 in KH2, also we don't know the time period between KH CoM and KH2, it could have been from a day to a year

and dont foget they had to move sora donald and goofys pods to twilight town

I was sure I had closed this thread myself when I was staff O_O Anyway, I figured it out, courtesy of Wikipedia.
Kingdom Hearts TO Chain of Memories = 1 year
Chain of Memories = DIRECTLY after Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts II = 1 year after Chain of Memories.
So, that's two years between the beginning of Kingdom Hearts and the end of it.

okay i got the com to kh2 right but uhhh how can kh1 to com be 1 year whilst chain of memories is directly after kh1?

So then wouldn't i be right when i said that Sora is 16 in KH2 and 14 in KH1, as well as Kairi, and Riku being 15 in KH1 and 17 in KH2? because someone said otherwise
