I, because it was all skill and no easy button. (Easy button being triangle, how many times do you press that throughout the game?)

Also because it wasnt based off the retarded KHCOM, which was a pointless game. Lets take away your memories, give you false ones, and then make another game just to give you your old ones back->KHII. pointless.

I personally prefer Kingdom Hearts I. I dunno why, but the second one just had a different feel to it. Don't get me wrong, I think they are both great games, but I just preferred the first one more.

Well… I’m almost finished with the second one and I have to say that… neither are excellent games, in my opinion, but still very enjoyable… Of the two, I’d probably have to go with the first one. *shrugs* I actually liked the worlds of KH1 better than 2, everything else didn’t really matter.

You're right, they aren't that excellent. As a matter of fact, they're overrated, they're fun as hell to play but beyond that...meh.

I liked KH1 better. Reasons why:

1. The experience was new and the atmosphere of the game seemed darker and more explorative.

2. KH2 starts off so frigging slow...as in the first four hours are Twilight Town and that stupid minigame with Nerf bats.

3. All the nice additions to KH2 just felt superfluous and I had a constant sense of "been here, done that."

4. The story was confusing without the Ansem reports. In an action game, I don't like to have to read random crap I pick up to understand the story. Leave that to real RPGs, KH is an action game and Nomura isn't fooling anyone with "leveling up."

5. KH1 had some badass heartless later in the game, like the Wyvern, Behemoth, Invisible, Angel Star and Defender. KH2 is completely lacking in badass heartless

6. KH1 has alot of awesome optional bosses. It had Sephiroth, Ice Titan, Clocktower Phantom and Kurt Zisa. KH2 has...Sephi...

7. KH2 introduces Sora's fancy new fusions, but there is no incentive to use them, you can easily pummel your way through everything without transforming once.

8. Magic was less useful in KH2 game, the only spell I used was the Cure set. In KH1 I relied alot more on magic and the Fire spell wasn't utter crap.

9. KH1 didn't ruin FF characters. KH2 turned Setzer into a crap cameo character who was champ of "beat the balls out of your enemy with a Nerf bat." Nomura also gave Vivi that creepy hat with a mouth, which just looked like something ripped off Tim Burton.

10. No flying unless you were in Sora's uber form. Seems like I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed the flying bits in KH1.

11. KH2 had the WORST reunion of friends ever (Sora is totally gay for Riku)...god that scene made me want to bitch-slap Sora.

So yeah, that's what I can think of currently as to why I like KH1 better. But KH2 does have a few exceptional things going for it:

1. The Organization was awesome (even though they're generic anime crap, they're the best part of the game).

2. The Gummi Ship thing was actually fun this time around.

3. There was none of that HORRID swimming in Atlantis and you could just mute the bad songs.

4. No stupid Tarzan and Alice In Wonderland levels.

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas world had great bosses, much better than giant castle Oogie.

6. The 1000 Heartless battle, that was just plain cool (it should have been more challenging though).

7. Roxas. Playing him for a while meant you didn't have to play as faggy Sora.

8. There was a ton of fighting, it was all fast-paced, had alot of aerial combat, plus it had that awesome finishing move Explosion.

I liked KH better than KHII because it was longer and darker.

Easily kh2...it was a bit easier but it made up for it with story and length.

I prefer Kingdom Hearts 1.

Kingdom Hearts II suffered from poor world design, and an overabundance of cut scenes. I was watching video sequences more than I was playing the game.

The combat is well-done, but Sora is simply too powerful. I never felt challenged...even on Proud Mode. Kingdom Hearts I was by no means a difficult game, but Kingdom Hearts II is even easier. A 3 year old who substitutes both his thumbs for a mental illness could make it through this game.

Small complaints, really. Overall, Kingdom Hearts II is a fine game--just not as good as I was anticipating. After all, Kingdom Hearts I didn't have to live up to any of my expectations. Kingdom Hearts II, on the other hand, did.

I liked 1 better.
-Magic actually was effective
-MP worked better for me
-No forms to plow through game with (Valor + 2 Hi potions = boss dead on normal)
-Sephiroth fight OWNS YOU in this version
-Better skills
-No retarded triangle button abuse
-No gay hour long Roxas story
-Not overly confusing
-had set goals
-Ansem was fucking AWESOME to fight first time through. I was so into that fight... Then again, I was horribly underleveled.
