Cerberus
I've only just started this game and I'm finding the Cerberus quite hard. I've lost twice so far. Is it suppost to be this hard or should I be at a higher level?

Try staying behind him and hit him from behind. That's what I did anyway. I avoided most of his fireball attacks. If he uses black lightening attacks, simply dodge and roll, then continue pummeling him when he stops.
If you can, try jumping onto his back and hit his head from there.

Yeah, jumping on his head and hacking him from there is your best bet, simply trying to attack him head on is going to incur your massive damage anyway, so do your best to attack where it's hard for him to counter you.

conserve your magic for cure if you have it, if not stock up on potions and try to keep back when he starts using his meteors and when he bites try and block it and attack him while he is stunned

Actually, I found that there's a particular spot you can get yourself into when he crouches down and periodically snaps at you, right behind his front-left paw. Once he's snapped, you have, potentially, up to three or four whacks at him with your Keyblade before he snaps again; so get back into position behind him. Repeating this will slowly, but surely, whittle away at what HP he has. When he gets up and launches fireballs, just be sure to stay either underneath him, or continue to dodge-roll. For the dark holes that chase you, make sure to continually dodge-roll out of harms way. When he rears up on his hind legs, be sure to stay off the ground when he comes back down and causes that massive shockwave - the stands are perfect for ensuring that.
Contrary to what's been said, I found that staying on his head was more difficult that just mindlessly whacking him; although, it's an ideal strategy for fighting the Behemoth's, later.
As a precaution, I'd advise you to have completed Wonderland and Deep Jungle, equipping Sora with appropriate accessories afterwards. Make sure you have Cure equipped to a shortcut function. Good luck :]

I forgot I could roll...silly me!
I didn't find doging the fireballs or the blue stuff hard, I just found it hard to attack his head without getting bitten. I've done it now though.

Congrats. Yeah, he was hard for me when I fought him again in the coliseum. Yes, you fight him again in the Hades cup I think. He's harder then.
