SOTW / AOTW Discussion & Results
SOTW General Information
SOTW = Signature Of The Week. The SOTW competition takes place once a week and can only be set up by a designated mod, but anyone can enter. Every week there is a theme or at least guidelines set up for everyone to follow.
Here is an example:
Theme: Anime
Rules: Transparency allowed, can't be be square.
Rules that apply to every SOTW
1.) Do not vote for your own entry. You will be immediately disqualified if you do so.
2.) Do not submit the same sig/tag in more than one SOTW. That's just silly, and will get you disqualified.
3.) Do not submit and old tag. I don't mean one you made a week ago, (that I can let slide), but I mean one that's been sitting on your hard drive for months that you just never did anything with.
4.) All entries regardless of the theme, must fit the forum sig limits which is 500x200.
5.) All votes must have a post to match, or they will be discarded.
6.) You must elaborate on what you like about the signature that you are voting for. Voting for a signature because it has a character you like in it just as a reason all by itself is a perfect example of how to get your vote invalidated. Votes without proper elaboration of what strikes your fancy about the graphic will be discarded as well. This does not mean that you have to write a paragraph critique. Appreciate the overall signature you're voting for, not just the character in it.
Purpose for this thread
The purpose for this thread is to discuss current, past and upcoming SOTW discussions. Also, you can suggest themes for SOTW (which is more than welcome =D) And winners for each SOTW will be posted here =D
Schedule
Every week an 'entry' thread will be posted, where I tell you the theme and other guidelines, and then you will pm Aerith or Matt Bellamy your entries, so the voting will be anonymous. That way, we can cut down on playing favorites at least a little bit. And on the following week, that entry thread will be deleted, a poll for members to vote will be opened, and a new guidelines thread will be opened for the following SOTW.

You could also use fanart of CC characters, but I think you'd have to limit fanart to Zack, Genesis and other CC-only characters. Unless it's something obvious, like Aerith in her CC dress.

Just two wins? As I remember, your entries have been always the bests, except one case that Angel Valentine's was better.
You just did not keep participating, otherwise you would win almost all of them. |
