I'm going to enter this next SOTW, I think.

Also, I have a suggestion.
We have a Sig of the Week, but why don't we hold LP (Large Piece/Wallpaper) and icon/avatar competitions? I think that it would be a good way to further boost the livelihood of the section. We could hold them less often than SOTWs if three competitions a week is overwhelming (and it probably will be).

I don't think we have many people who're into LPs. I personally hate them.

Though an icon competition doesn't seem like it'd be too much trouble. I'm certainly interested.

The idea dawned on me while I was browsing ACF's graphics section, because they have LP comps.

Ah so I guess people don't like LPs then... They can actually be fun to make once you get into them.

Anyway, I really hope to see icon competitions show up here. It's a nice change, and since icons are relatively easy to make for most people, I can see how it would be reasonable to have this competition occur weekly like the SOTW. We're all focusing so much on sigs that we're losing our ability in avataring.

I would quite like an LP competition. I wouldn't expect many entries though, since it's significantly more work than sigs.

Also, I would say LPs would be hard (decent ones anyway) for the relative beginners to make.

And then there's what classifies as "LP", size constraints? Photography/Photomanipulation? 3D Art? Bit too fiddly I reckon.

Icon comp would bee great though
