I love the new sig, you have an enviable way of using light (ironic, yes  ) and colours 
I agree with the skin thing though, some sigs just generally look better on different coloured backgrounds which is why I always preview my sig before I use it...tip!
Anyway, keep up the amazing work!

Hmm... All I really did though was slap a stock and some textures on a gradient background. Plus I don't have the PSD. I can give you links to the resources I remember using though.
I might make a tut on my most recent tag, though, 'cause I have the PSD.

You missed the borderlines...it would look better if you added one and reduced visibility to make sure the border doesn't stand out too much. Of course, it's your sig, your rules and your decisions.

I don't really get what you mean by borderlines, but I do get what you mean by the clashing. I tried to counter that in my 2nd version:
