Quantum of Solace
The 22nd James Bond film and the sequel to Bond's last epic mission 'Casino Royale'
"Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Perusing his determination to uncover the truth Bond and M interrogate Mr White who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone could have imagined.
Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille, a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene, a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.
On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled Medrano. Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating powerful contacts within the CIA and British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.
In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists, and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organisation."
[Also, Vesper Lynd has also brought to my attention that you lucky people get tp see Daniel Craig's (aka, James Bond) Quantum Sausage.]
Discuss.

There's also rumours going that Bond will get married again in QOS. Craig didn't deny that when interviewed, but also didn't admit it.
Seriously looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll be ready by the date they've announced.

Getting married "again" it wouldn't be considered, really, as Casino Royale was a reboot, and thus none of the 20 films before it are a part of this new Bond's history.

To be fair, there were only two movies that actually had any continuity to them in them. They were On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and then the later one (Roger Moore film, can't remember which) where he visits Theresa. The Bond movies, at least to me, were just a bunch of movies about a person named James. No real timeline involved.
But still, your point is valid, because it will be like he was never married.

What? Diamonds are Forever (the Sean Connery one that was right after OHMSS) didn't have any continuity? Thats odd, cause... you know... he's hunting Blofeld in the opening because he killed his wife.
And what about The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker? Jaws and Bond knew each other in the latter because of the former. And what about Die Another Day and the gadget room, where Bond is looking over a bunch of his old Q lab equipment? There are several other references to past films from movie to movie, they just aren't overly blatant, and they always ignore dates, thus creating a timeless continuity... it may lack a proper timeline, but it still has continuity... they are mostly all complete stand alone films, but that doesn't mean continuity doesn't exist.
Anyway, back to Craig's Bond in contrast with the others... basically what its like is Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan were all playing the same character... while Daniel Craig is playing another... its like an alternate universe version of the guy. Kinda like Earth 1 and Earth 2 Superman from the DCU. Same guy, same basics, totally different histories, and thus two different characters.
P.S. The Roger Moore film you're thinking of was For Your Eyes Only, and it began with Bond finally utilizing his license to kill on Blofeld.

Hahah, I remember when they released the name of the new Bond movie I thought, "wow, what a pretentious, strange name...."
It sounds pretty interesting. I hope there are more Bond emerging from the ocean all half naked and wet scenes XD

I know, I was using the term is a loose sense.

Try watching the first half a dozen films or so and say that. Stau Blofeld makes several appearances, and SPECTRE is mentioned on several occasions.

It's derived from a quote by Ian Fleming himself, referencing to how Bond and Lynd's relationship is over. Roughly.

...and that boys and girls, his how you make yourself look like an idiot on the internet.
Still, I think there is very little continuity in the Bond movies. At least not enough so that it matters, and after a certain point in the movies (midway through Moore's tenure) that Bond movies show little or no reference to previous movies.
I say "little or no" to prevent me getting egg on my face again.

That's because by then there were very few of the original novels that hadn't been turned into movie adaptations, and so completely new story lines had to be written.

Ahhh, I remember watching Casino Royale when it came out in the cinema. Spectacular, truly spectacular. Now I'm all ready for the sequel with hawt Daniel Craig. Apparently, I think it's set for a November release here in the UK and everyone else gets it in December. Ha!
