Not counting my thrice daily viewings of Road House, I just saw Borat for the first time. Had a few chuckles but it wasn't really my thing.
I saw 300 a few days ago in theaters, though, and it was awesome. The 'deuce could use a few Spartans.

Name: The Number 23
Rating: 5 1/2
Comments: Not bad... wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wishes for a night out at the cinema. Rent only, I'm afraid. The conclusion was far too poor to even comment on...

Movie: The Host (Gwoemul)
Rating: R for creature violence and language
Runtime: 119 minutes
Comments: This is a South Korean movie directed by Bong Joon-ho. It's about a creature that emerges from Soeul's Han River and starts attacking people, but it's so much more. This is not a typical cookie cutter monster movie. It's thrilling, suspenseful, it has slapstick comedy thrown in, and blatant political statements. I won't go into any detail as I don't want to spoil it. The special effects in the movie were created by New Zealand's Weta Workshop, the same group that created the special effects in the Lord of the Rings movies. I enjoyed the movie and it went beyond my expectations, but I will be the first to say it's not for everyone. If you're a fan of Asian horror or monster movies I believe this one is for you. If these are not your type of movies, you may be alternately entertained and bored. The movie began showing in limited release on March 9, 2007. I at least recommend checking out a movie trailer to see if it looks like a movie you would be interested in seeing. Personally, it surpassed the expectations I had from viewing the trailer.
Score: 4 out of 5 stars

Constantine and it was a pretty decent movie, although Keanu Reeves just didnt fit the part of Constatine for me. I cant explain it, but he just didnt suit the role. Rachel Wienz (sp) is excellent, although her American accent is abit odd IMO. Great special effects and story. The whole angels, demons, Heaven and Hell are always winners with me!

Title: The Number 23
Rating: R
Comments: The beginning and the whole build up to the climax was awesome. I liked it a lot and thoguht it was really intersting, but once they told you the "big thing" in the whole movie, it went down hill from there. The ending was horrible and to be honest that ruined a lot. But it was very funny because during the whole movie i was adding things up in my head, and a lot of things add to 23. And i was born on the 23rd of September.. kinda freaky hahha.
Overall: 3 and a half stars out of 5
... go see it if youre bored, its worth it.

Bams movie, stupid funny, Brandon Dicamillo makes the movie. i ve seen this one many times, and it still just a s funny as the first time, although the shitty Bam only scenes backed by the sappy sounds of HIM get to ya after a while... still trying to get my hands on the reverse microwave

"Nacho Libre"
PG
I thought this movie sucked, I only watched it because my boyfriend was watching it. He loved this movie mainly because it has Jack Black, but I could barely watch the first 20 minutes of it, finally I just ended up reading while he finished watching the movie.

Saw the trailer weeks before the movie. Fell in love with it. Weeks after, I saw the movie. It was the very definition of awesome!
The Spartans, they were true warriors. Their formation, spirit, vigor, etc. were really something.
Highly recommended.

Title: Tetsuo the Iron man
Rating: N/R
Runtime: 67 minutes
Comments: A Japanese cyberpunk/surrealist movie directed by Shinya Tsukamoto in 1988. It's about a salaryman who runs over a metal's fetishist (played by Shinya Tsukamoto himself) and leaves him in the woods somewhere. The salaryman, who starts to feel consumed by guilt, start transforming into a mechanical monster, and starts to be haunted by the guy he ran over. I really liked this movie, I thought it was very interesting from beginning to end, and thought it had one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a movie. Definitley worth a rental at least, especially if you're a fan of either Shinya Tsukamoto, cyberpunk, or surrealist art.
10/10
