I Am Legend
So I just saw this movie today, my dad spontaneously decided he wanted to see it so I figured why not, I'd been wanting to see it anyway.
It was fairly different from the book (then again, I wouldn't expect anything different of an adaptation), but it was good nonetheless, albeit very sad. I've always liked Will Smith, and he did a damn good job in this movie, especially considering that for a large portion of the movie he's the only actor.
So who here has seen it and did you like it? Orrr who here hasn't seen it but wants to, or who here has read the book?

I haven't seen it myself but a group of intend to do so on wednesday. This looks absolutely amazing and, given that this is not the first move adaption of the book, it must live up to its legendary name, so to speak.

I'm not sure if it lives up to its legendary name...hell, if you read the book you'll discover the title has a very profound meaning and the movie completely sheds it. It's almost a different story, but it's still very much worth watching.

I read up on Wikipedia how the story goes and, I must say, it does take a rather intruiging turn and I know what you mean about the title.

I first read up on it on Wiki too, then I went out and bought the book. Even knowing what the title meant, I was still like "woah..." That's all gone in the movie.
I suggest reading the book, then seeing the movie. Or you can do it vice versa if you'd like. You'll forever see Dr. Neville as Will Smith in your mind, but that's nowhere near as horrific as seeing Elijah Wood in your mind when you try to re-read Lord of the Rings. I won't ever be able to touch that book again.

I had no idea it was an adaptation of a book. ><
Saw it though, and it was good. Not the best film I've ever seen but definitely one to watch again. Fred was a great character. xD

DAMNIT FRED!
Yeah, it was written in 1954 by Richard Matheson (the guy who did The Shrinking Man). It's actually had a couple movies based on it before this one came out, but I haven't seen them yet.

Havent seen it and avoiding spoilers lol. The books sold well at my work and I love Will Smith, so I shall see it when I get a chance!

I saw the film "I Am Legend" in a local movie theater with my family. It stars my favorite actor Will Smith. I nearly any film starring him. The title "I Am Legend" is associated with the film's ending.

Why so it is  I was kinda disappointed that they changed its meaning though...in the book the title had alot more impact. Ah well, I shan't complain since I enjoyed the film anyway. |
