Futurama
I miss futurama re-runs. Why is the show off the air. I can watch Futurama all day, it is so much fun. There is just something about it that I really like.
I think that it has superior characters to family guy. They have more dynamics and story. I do not look for a very in depth story line, but none of the stories are outrageous and random throw togethers. They are all intelligent and charming episodes. Where as family guy is explosive and random, and just too juvenile at times. I some times get bored with the lack of substance in family guy because it does not reach me on any levels.
Where as Fry , I can relate to, and Bender I can relate people to . Family Guy though is the exact opposite , I can hardly relate any of those people to anyone because it is always so random ,and so outrageous.
I am always surprised by what these people do, and to me that looses whole full ness . I can not understand, or miss the company of any of the on screen characters because all those characters exist in complete randomness.
The black character has little deepth, and well I just enjoy Futurama more and I always have.
I think Futurama is more impressive and enjoyable. I miss the series. I am just sharing my opinion, this is not to hate on Family Guy.
It is just a futurama thread. Do you like Futurama , do you compare it to FG like I do?

That makes absolutely no sense at all.
I prefer Family Guy to Futurama myself. The humour is just generally better. Though it may be because I've seen Futurama so many times that it's just got boring now. Looking forward to the new series this year.

Futurama is/was terrific, it has great supporting characters in Bender and Dr. Zoidberg and it did very well in actually exploring Fry and Leela's relationship in the latter two seasons. There's some nice cameos from the likes of Beck too along the way.
I really like the episodes Time Keeps On Slippin', Luck of the Fryish and Jurassic Bark. They're actually very sweet
and quite moving in places.

I don't compare Futurama to Family Guy. I don't care for either of those shows.
Family Guy is probably more enjoyable to watch...despite it being full of the most random dribble. "This reminds me of the time Howard Stern pretended to be a dolphin at a hockey game where the players weren't human, but were zombies instead." I don't know if they've done THAT one yet.
Family Guy has its moments. Futurama has its moments.
Overall, neither show interests me much.

I am a FG guy as well, but there was a day when I watched Futurama all the time! as time went, however, I got bored of it. I only liked one episode after that; the one when Fry and Leela get the superpowers. "Clobberella beats you up. Clobberella beats you up. Who does she beat up? YOU! Clobberella!"

I quite love Futurama.... And poor, poor Dr. Zoidberg. But I'm still a Family Guy type a'girl.
I quite love it when Fry is trying to get Leela to love him, it's sooo cute.
