Colour of Magic
If you have no idea, its Terry Pratchetts first Discworld novel. So far, 2 animated films have been made, Hogfather was created and now we are being treated, or are we, to another adaptation.
We have David Jason playing the part of Rincewind. Now Jason played Albert, Deaths butler in HF, so him playing Rincewind doesnt seem right to me. I personally liked to have Eric Idle's voice put into it somehow as he played a great Rincewind in the PS1 game Missing Persumed. Jason just doesnt seem Rincewind material.
We also have Sean Austin as the tourist TwoFlower, Christopher is back as the voice of Death (he played Death in the 2 animated films), Tim Curry and Jeremy irons. Not a bad cast line up, but will it be able to be pulled off?

I'm not too sure, The Colour of Magic was so long ago now, it feels hard at times when I re-read it to reconcile it with the more recent Discworld novels. It is a good book in its own right, but there's stuff that now jars, like Death being far more 'evil' in it (something which pretty much changed as far back as the subsequent book). And isn't David Jason about 40-50 years too old to play Rincewind?

Thats what I thought, the age of Jason is alittle too old. And Im annoyed that a book for the show has been released! Its the dumbed down versions for people who havent got a clue bout it.
