The show was just silly at times with the almost cartoonish levels of violence in it. But when it worked, it was very funny I admit. Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson were both good in it.
I really like the episode where they go out trick or treating, andthe Christmas one is pretty good too.

I love our shows, we truly do have some classics and Bottom ranks close to the top. My uncle dressed as Eddie for Halloween some years ago, he looked great!
