SB permissions

I'm tired of seeing permissions abused. In the past few days, every time I look around, the SB is being pruned, the notices are being messed with, shouts are being edited. To be quite frank, it's bullshit and we really shouldn't have to put up with it.

Just because it's the shoutbox doesn't make it an action of smaller importance.

How is pruning the shoutbox an 'abuse' of power? Does it really matter how often it's done? Big deal, something you said 5 hours ago has been deleted. So?

I imagine this'll be closed for being a dupe thread, too xD

To be honest, it's not much of a bother to me. It doesn't get in the way of actually using the shoutbox. The constant notices is a slight annoyance, but that's all.
I do agree with the title of the thread; the shoutbox should be a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT. But we've been through this before...

Mod's shouldn't be editing other people's shouts unless it's genuinely funny or if a post breaks the rules. Pruning is completely unnecessary unless the forum is being spammed, so I don't know what's up with that.

Honestly though, this is a pretty minor thing to be complaining about.

It's so ridiculous that you can even call it "Power".

Yes, it does matter. I personally like to snoop around in the SB archives to find links to things I may have posted up and don't have link anymore. But it's always been pruned whenever I go and look for it.

And I've taken notice to the fact that it's not been pruned as often since yesterday.

And yes, it may be minor but it's the small things in E-Life that count.

There is an option to set it to auto-prune after a given amount of time. That could work.
I think Busta set it to auto-prune after 5000 shouts though...

...or, we could just go back to having only me, Darkblade, and Belazor being able to use any ShoutBox commands.

Let's keep the nonsense and annoying pranks on the down low in the SB from now on guys. The SB is suppose to be enjoyable, not annoying.

some makes crazy notices on the SB oh man
and yah its supposed to be for fun

just make the moderators and the administrators be in charge on putting notices in the SB.....Adamant is the one making crazy notices XD

I have no problem with the notices at all if they are for harmless fun, but editing and deleting so many posts like what happened last night and junk, it just made the SB more of a nuisance than an enjoyable feature.
