In some areas you gain postcount from posting, and in some areas you do not. You don't gain post count from posting in the Guadosalam forum, spam forum, and a few other forums.
Though... at the end of the day, your postcount is just a silly number.

But all of that's what the point is not. The point's that's there ain't no romance 'round there.

One other thing, though. The forums in which post count is enabled do require you to insert a bit more thought into whatever you say. For example, in the spam coliseum, you'd get away with saying "I agree" and such like but if you tried that in the Final Fantasy X forum, it'd likely get deleted.

Oh for f-...Listen. The Costa del Sol forum does not count posts, the intro forum doesn't count posts, and the spam coliseum doesn't count posts. Why? Because then it would be way to easy to get lots of posts, because in spam colisuem you can almost post anything. WATCH OUT FOR [Post count disabled] on top of the page when ever you visit a forum.
I even posted exactly what the post count disabled thingy looks like.^^

Actually, Costa Del Sol and a portion of its sub-forums do allow post counts. As far as I know, it's only the Spam Coliseum, Sector 7 and the Meeting Room, which don't allow post count to increase. The rest have it enabled.
