Where is the zodiac spear
Where is the zodiac spear and how good is it. Is there anything that you have to do to get it

Zodiac Spear is located in the Necrohol of Nabudis. How good is it? Um, the strongest weapon in the game, apparently...so I'm assuming it must be really good. 150+ attack good enough? =)

How you get it:

There are 4 places with treasure chests that must NOT be opened in order for the Zodiac Spear to appear:
1) Treasure chest in Lowtown, outside of Old Dalan's place
2) When sneaking into the palace (Before getting the Goddess Tear), there are several chests in the Cellar. Do not open the two chests in the southeast corner.
3) All treasure chests in the Confiscatory (the place where you get your weapons and armor back after being captured)
4) In the Phon Coast, later in the game, there is an island with 16 chests all near each other. The 4th chest that must NOT be opened is among these, so it is best to leave them all alone. They only contain Gil anyway.

I can't remember it exactly, but there is one room where are about 15 treasures. Its inside one of them.

(There is other way to get Zodiac spear, but its extremely hard. In Henne mines, first area when going to get Zodiark esper, with Diamond armlet, any treasure, change to get is 1 of 1000.)

^ it's not any chest in henne mines
There is a certain chest down a dead end path which has a 1/1000 chance with diamond armlet equipped

And the zodiac spear chest in necrohol is in a small room in the middle section of nabudis

Oh and the zodiac spear is good for a while but gets outmatched by torunesol and masamune since at high lvs comboing is much more importantt

Mitsuki just kind of covered it. I never got it because I opened a wrong chest at the beginning of the game. Square-Enix just loves to hurt me!
