And yes, get the Masamune and Genji Gloves. Katanas already have a high combo rate, and Genji Gloves will make it insane. Plus Gilgamesh is hilarious and definitely worth fighting.

If you can't get Masamune or Zodiac Spear I'd reccomend buying two Save the Queens and getting a Volcano (Ultimate Handbomb) which can be gotten from an easy hunt, I think it's the one petitioned by the Bangaa looking to write a bestiary with rare monsters. Check a guide about that though, I can't be to sure.
