Chain Rewards?
I just started a new game...I'm leveling up...and I decided, what the heck, I'll do some chains and get some good loot...
I know that for some chains, Montblanc will give you rewards...
Does anyone have a list of the rewards that montblanc gives you for reaching a certain chain level, or...a list of what good things come out of achieving a high chain level besides loot...?

Well, if there is a reward, you'd probably have to go to the 100's, because I've done a 126 chain before and got nothing from him.
If you get really high chain levels, there is a chance that when you pick up the loot, HP or MP will be recovered, or positive status effects will be bestowed upon you.
You can get the Montblanc figure for the Sky Pirate Den if you do a 50-chain, though.

I may have been wrong about Montblanc giving you rewards. I'm sure I read something about that before though. o.0
I think maybe it might be if you get a chain on rare game only. Hmm..

Montblanc gives you rewards if
* you increase in clan rank
* you defeat boss
I'm sure there are others, but that's what I've experienced so far.

Yeah Montblance doesn't give you a reward for chaining high, it just makes teh drops from the enemies a little bit more luxurious.
The only reward to really get for high chaining is the "Montblanc" Trophy in the Sky Pirate's Den. Is that what you were thinking? You only need to perform a 50-chain for that one.

Besides the little pic you get for getting a chain of 50 you dont gain anything. I've tested this to just over 500 (I was aiming for a 1000 but got WAY too bored).

If you get the guide it will let you know ahead of time, but otherwise he just gives you a buncha cash gil for the completion of them and maybe a good weapon here or there.

The important ones are the serpentarius, Empereal soul and gemsteel which you get from getting a certain amount of espers
