Opening the safe at the mansion..

I entered the combo 36-10-59-97 before the times up but it keeps saying that I failed. What gives??

You have to do it in odd order...

Hmm, did you make sure that it's Right 39, Left 10, Right 59, and Right 97...? And you can't pass the numbers too. Like, if you go right 39, you can't pass 39. It has to land in the exact number. Otherwise - fail.

Aye, what Mitsuki said. Be very careful to not pass the numbers. You'll need to scroll fast enough to reach them in time, but be sure to slow down enough beforehand so you can hit the number. It seems to be extremely touchy so be very gentle when you tap the D-pad, or else you're liable to accidentally go over by just one digit.

Oh and as a last bit of advice, make sure you have the enemy skill Big Guard, it'll make the fight alot easier. You can learn it from Beach Plugs (you'll need the Manipulate materia) in the Costa Del Sol area. If you're not to that point...well...there's really no rush, Vincent will be around everyone else's lvl no matter when you get him.
