You can get the Ultimate Armour from him. To get it the easy way, you can lure him near an exit from the area. From there, kill him. VERY QUICKLY pick up what he drops (If he does) and go out of the area. (You must do this before the EXP and LP signs come up). Return to the area, and he will appear again. Rinse and repeat.

I beat him; he was pretty easy. Then again my team was around Level 70... Killing the six monsters to make him appear was more annoying than he was.

I didn't have the patience to lure him to an exit to do the above method, and he didn't drop the Grand Armour. So, is there any other place to get it from?

Nope only the Helvinek drops it. Don't worry though, you can fight him again by defeating a certain number of Oversouls. And the grand armour is a low drop rate.

Ah, good stuff. Cheers for the help; I dunno when I'll have the patience to find the Oversouls again but I'll get around to it.
