I have been reading some threads lately and I have been wondering about my two healers. Ashe and Penelo. They are more or less just my healers and I am wondering if for my healer I should either use Staves or an actually weapon and what and for my mage(Penelo) shoule I use rods or should i use an actual weapon.

I have been pondering what I should do and hoping someone out there could help me. Fast responses would be appreciated so i can make up my mind and think about something else.

As for your weapons question, just add whatever you want. If you are going to occasionally attack with your healers, give them a good weapon too. I'm not really sure what the benefits of Staves and Rods are since I hardly ever use them, but go with what you want to.

Hey, I hardly ever worry about Magic defense and junk like that unless it's a boss I'm facing that has killer magic. But at the point of the game where I'm at (only facing Yiazmat and Omega still), I'm just focusing on physical attacks and brute strength to attack and protect myself with.

Armour does the most for me, I have poles for Ashe along with her mage armour and her magic is outstanding, same with penelo and she uses daggers along with mage armour. The armour does most of it imo in healing, I heal more than my max HP atm with them, if you're into attacking monsters hard with magick then I do advise rods
