How does one attack with Cure Spells?

Hello All,

I have about 120 hours (Level around the mid 80's) invested in FF XII and for the life of me I have not been able to target enemies with curative spells. For instantance, the Stratagy Guide suggests on Hunt # 26 to cast Reverse on Deathgaze then cast Renew. But no matter how hard I try I can not cast the spell on Deathgaze. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or the American version of the game does not allow the player to target with Curative Spells. Can anyone help please?

....don't you just move the cursor over to the list of enemies when you select the target?

Moving this to the help booth.

Select the spell, then press L1 or R1 (I forget which), to select the monster.

yeah you might have to press R1 as that will then target enemies rather than your party

R1 and L1 toggle through a list options for targets your casting at (Friend or Foe). Never knew that existed...Still not sure how to move the thread to the Help Booth though.
