FF8 Triple Triad Rules - Help!

I'm currently at the Lunar Place ( at the moon ) and the rules are ridiculous.... I don't get the rule where it says " Same/Plus/Same Wall.. err something like that.. I'm trying to get the Laguna card, but because of that rule, i ALWAYS lose, so can someone explain to me exactly how does the Plus/Same Wall rule work

Regarding the card rules there is a trick/cheat that will always work:

When you press the square button and the person who wants to play says to play with the rules of a certain area mixed with their own rules don´t accept the game and cancel it...then ask them again and again and again until they will just challenge you withought mentioning the rules that way the rules will always be the same
