you know the huge wyvern on the airship from X.

yeah i completely fail at this fight. can someone please help me with this boss, links or personal strategies please

Firstly make sure you have a lot of Al Bhed potions, more then 30 should be enough and everyone should have full overdrives.
When the fight starts have Rikku, Wakka and Lulu in party and move the ship away from Evrae. Then just attack him with Wakka and cast magic with Lulu, heal with Rikku using Al Bhed potions while Cid will automatically launch missiles.
When Evrae's health is getting to get low he will approach the airship and hurt you team. Then just wack him with strongest overdrives and he will be down.

Just heal and attack with your strongest ranged attacker mainly wakka and keep the airship away from Evrae and you should be fine.

Hardest non-optional boss imo.

Attack Evrae at the beginning and when your characters get seriously hurt, move away. Heal them, then get Wakka and Lulu to attack from far away along with the missiles. Get Tidus to use cheer everytime it is his turn, switch him with Rikku when you need to heal.
When Evrae moves in close because he has low health, attack him with Wakka, Tidus and Auron, as they will do the most damage. Just move away before his poison breath attack and use overdrives and he should be dead soon. If you find you can't beat him, then you can always train on the airship.
