Dark Valefor :Entrance to Besaid Village Dark Ifrit: Bikenal Island, near the entrance to Home. Dark Ixion: Thunder Plains (talk to soldier under lightning tower north of trading post, after you beat him the first time, he'll start teleporting all around the thunder plains, find him and beat him once more) Dark Shiva: Entrance to Macalania Temple. Dark Yojimbo: Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. (Need to beat him 5 times, after beating him, carry on running towards the entrance, he'll follow you, saving is useless, if you save and turn the game off, you'll have to start from the beginning, only use to heal) Dark Bahamut: Where you fought Yunalesca in Zanarkand. Dark Anima: Mt Gagazet (redo the challenge in which Wakka had to throw a ball at the revolving thing then teleport back to the entrance to Mount Gagazet and Dark Anima will be there waiting for you.) Dark Magus Sisters: Mushroom Rock (Exit from Mi'hen High Road).
They can hit for 99999 damage, Dark Yojimbo can use Zanmato which kills alll characters, with no chance of use of phoenix downs etc. so summon an Aeon to take the hit when his overdrive gauge fills.
They are pretty tough, Valefor can be easy, perfect attack reels can do him over pretty sweetly.
Make sure you have Weapons and armour that break damage/HP limit.
You get pretty cool items off them, such as Dark Matter.
If you're characters are pretty weak, don't even attempt them, unless you're planning on a Yojimbo Zanmato attack.

Yeah, its only for the international version. More specifically, Australia and Europe. Dark Matter is the least useful drop they make; the BHPL armor is helpful if you cannot be bothered to acquire Wings To Discovery.
You don't need to increase your stats at all for any of them - much like the entire game. Of course, breaking the damage limit makes the battle much quicker and easier.
Personally, I think Dark Bahamut is the toughest Dark Aeon; Impulse inflicts Full Break. This results him dealing full damage from then on, whilst you deal mediocre damage due to power and magic break.
