Help with the Gil Snapper

Just wasted five hours, cutting trees down (wow Square, how exciting). Then I go back and forth for a couple of hours untill it shows up (Fantastic idea Square) Get its HPs to nothing then it kills me. I have the silent urn but its not usable. Help?

PS Well done Square for making a great game totally boring.

Talk about being harsh over one little thing, maybe you're overreacting? My word. It certainly didn't take me 5 hours to do everything, and once I had accepted the hunt, and did the trees thing - why, it took me a lot less then 5hrs to do it..

Cast Dispel if necessary, use Slow immediately, then cast Silence and Blind. Keep using them until the effect takes place, then just attack.

I am one of FFXII's biggest critics here but 5 hours is exaggarating. I'm sure you can actually Disable him aswell and he will use magic.

Nope 5 hours, probably because when his hps are down i'm trying to use this bloody urn that im told to use "at the killing blow". So is that just nonsense? Do I just have to kill it normally?

..You don't use the Urn, that happens automatically once you defeat it..

AAAAAAAGGGGGGH! So why did it tell me to use it ?????? Because of the huge HPs of the creature you can be dealing 1000s of damage and the bar does not seem to go down any more.

OK i'm calm now. Thanks for the help.

Really angry about this hunt though.

Yeah, the thing about Key Items is that they're unusable.
