Ok, so I finally started playing blitzball. I want to recruit players, but some of them already have contracts with other teams. I've played several matches (won 7, including those in a tournament) and some of them renew their contracts. I want Nimrook in my team. Do I play until his contract expires and hope he doesn't renew or is there a way to end contracts? Thanks for the help

Ah, that's tricky sometimes. After his contract is up with his team, your screen will get a pop-up telling you that his contract is up. Sometimes his team will re-sign him, and that will also show right after it tells you that he is out of contract. For example a box will say:

"Biggs' contract with the Goer's has ended"

If that's all it says, you can pick him up. BUT...if another box comes up that says:

"The Goer's have signed Biggs for 10 games"

Then you lose your shot for another 10 games.

I think that's how it goes if I remember it correctly.

Godo starter team:

- In Luca on the way to the music sphere thing you come across zalitz who is one of the best defenders in blitzball
- In The Al Bhed travel agency on the mi-ihen high road talk to the shop(or inn)keeper, that's also one badass defender. So you defence is ok. You shouldnt have a lot trouble in midfield and offense. I sometimes tend to replace Datto by Zev Ronso (also in Luca).

for a good goalie you've got to wait quite a time =(, but those 2 defenders should do his work :p

The best Keeper available until Nimrook becomes available, is... well, some guy sitting on a bench in Luca. He's in the town-square which is close to the Mi'hen Highroad. Recruit him, and you'll not need to have much concern for people scoring against you.

Also, a good mid-field is Brother, however you need to have access to the airship in order to sign him up.
