Agra Manyu
I have all the cartuars now. 1 to 10. I talked to Marnela and I can figh Agra. From what I've heard he has the most HP than any of the bosses or fiends in FFX-2. So before I fight maybe you can give me a few tips or help?

There are harder bosses like Trema, Paragon and a couple other. If you want to beat this guy the easy way just get the cat nip from the Via Infinito and have yuna with low hp and continuously use trigger happy.

It's not so much a challenging battle as it is tedious, but it took me around half an hour or so to kill him.
His offensive is nothing to be snubbed at, so you'll want high magic defense. This'll render 2/3 of his attacks weak, so you can essentially endure him for much longer. For added protection, make sure you all have Protect up. Not essential for victory, but you might as well have it. My combination was as follows:
Dark Knight
White Mage
Dark Knight
Both my Dark Knights were thus immune to Poison and whatever else, and kept using Darkness. I ensured their HP was kept high with repeated use of Curaga. I can't remember which accessories I equipped, but I know I gave Ragnarok to Yuna, and ensured she was constantly buffed with Shell and Protect. This nulls all MP to 0, so the fight became comfortable.
Like I said earlier, it's not a hard fight, just lengthy. Keep your guard up, and you'll do fine. If you want to secure your win, walk in their at level 65 and over.

I remember one of the boss's attacks contained status-inducing effects such as Confusion and Poison. Besides Mascot, Dark Knight is probably the only other dresssphere which has abilities that offer complete protection against both those status ailments, leaving you the freedom to equip better accessories. Dark Knight also had a technique called Darkness which inflicts physical area-effect damage and ignored defence, which becomes useful for taking down Angra's other parts. The downside is the slight draining of HP every time you used it, so keep her healed up using a White Mage or the like.
Alternatively, if you simply just want to get this fight over and done with, fetch the Catnip Accessory from Via Infinito and equip it on your Gunner. Make sure she has mastered Trigger Happy Lvl 3 beforehand, and try to keep her HP in critical condition using Phoenix Downs (not Life magic) to revive her whenever she falls whilst maintaining the full-effect of Catnip. Then just blast to your heart's content using Trigger Happy and he'll be a goner in a few minutes or less.
