Have you noticed something about Agatha's pokemon? There aren't any ghost types that aren't paired with poison, and Arbok and Golbat are poison pokemon--she has quite a glaring weakness.
Even more, the pokemon whose specials are good against poison pokemon are fast, so that you can take out most of her pokemon in just one hit.
I think that's why I found her easy.
For the last battle, you just need to have most of your pokemon alive and match up the right types. According to a guide I read, he uses different pokemon depending on what pokemon you chose at the very beginning, but the types are the same, more or less.

Hmm...that's strange...I wonder how it works for Yellow...Ground? >_>
Also, STAB doesn't work for a Pokemon w/two Types, right? It's just for a single Type using it's own Type move, isn't it? Or am I wrong? Or is STAB not even taken into account in this gen? I forget...

STAB's still around.
I think STAB stays in effect for pokemon with multiple types. A pokemon that is, say, Dark/Fire would get the 50% damage bonus for Dark or Fire techniques.
I wouldn't bet my life on it, though.

Fire Stat Comparison
HP - Charizard>Ninetales>Flareon
ATK - Flareon>Charizard>Ninetales
DEF - Charizard>Ninetales>Flareon
SA - Charizard>Flareon>Ninetales
SD - Flareon>Ninetales>Charizard
SPD - Charizard/Ninetales>Flareon
Even though Charizard seems to dominate that list, Flareon's ATK, SA, & SD are all very good and I almost worry about those most, although Pikachu does have Light Screen...
I'm actually thinking for my final six...
Pikachu
Mew
Lapras
Venusaur
Flareon
Haunter
I'm not sure if I should have Haunter (cause I can't trade for Gengar)...maybe I should put in Snorlax instead...

Haunter isn't bad, but if you can't go all the way to Gengar, I wouldn't bother with him.
Why not evolve Pikachu into Raichu? I can't think of a good reason not to.

If he can't trade Pikachu over to another game, he can't evolve it, as the Pikachu in yellow behaves like the one in the anime, it refuses to let you evolve it.

Ohhhhh, I got'cha! Never knew it worked that way. That makes plenty of sense, then.
Haven't played Yellow, personally. Is it possible to remove Pikachu from the party? I doubt it. Pikachu's a solid electric pokemon at least. A shame you can't get Jolteon in there instead...though you've already got Flareon.

Yeah, and Pikachu in Yellow's stats are different from regular Pikachu too...
Maybe Marowak would be a better replacement for Haunter than Snorlax...Hmmm...

I'm kind of late, but Electrode is a very fast pokemon. If you need good speed, and some decent attacks, he would be a good choice too.
But then again, lots of electric pokemon are generally quite fast.

Yeah, I actually got through it...! My team was actually...
Pikachu - Lvl 54
Mew - Lvl 55
Flareon - Lvl 45
Lapras - Lvl 43
Venusaur - Lvl 42
Snorlax - Lvl 41
Admittedly, Venusaur & Snorlax didn't do much and I ended up falling back on Mew more than a few times, but w/e...! I still count it as a clean win!!
Uh, I guess this could be closed...? Unless someone else could have a similar problem w/Yellow, I guess...>_>
