Hello peeps,
My names the ginger bred man  . My cuzzin runs a tomb raider forum and after seein him do tht i thought id join a forum where i like and actually KNOW something about the subject lol. I've loved final fantasy for years, i started off with FFVIII and moved on since dere. I wanna play VII but think cos im used to better graphics and gameplay that ill be disappointed by it :(. I aint played anything past X-2 yet so can no one ruin it for me lol. anyways, im from essex, in england, just give us a holla if u wanna chat.

Hey, don't be put off by the graphics. FFVII is one of the best FF's there is...
Also the gameplay is alot more enjoyable, in my opinion, in comparison to later titles.
Gameplay is probably the best in FFVII with all its mimi games and side quests, than in any other FF.

Play VII. It is generally regarded as the best FF, as well as (by some) the greatest RPG of all time. A lot of people argue VIII is better, but that is for you to decide. I generally prefer VII due to it's really gritty world and nialistic attitude towards saving the world and motivations. It has a really great feel surrounding the story and all the components of the world within. Of all the FFs I have played, VII is the most true-to-life, which is rather scary in some aspects. I guess one could view it as a pessimistic vision of humanities future, most notably the ShinRa Electric Company which (while only being a power in a small part of the world) pushes it weight around in global politics and believes it owns the world and can have it any damn way they want. Which is sort of true, because they have the biggest guns and everybody is scared of them. Remind you of any world super powers in modern history?
The lower graphical quality will not effect your gameplay at all (at least not after 20-30 minutes of gameplay), I guarrantee it will be one of the greatest gaming experiences of your life.

Heya, welcome to the forums.
I agree that VII is good and the graphics don't really stop the game from being enjoyable.  Graphics aren't everything! =P
Anyone else walk into game shops and wonder why teenage chavs are drooling over the newest sports game 'cause of its graphics alone, totally oblivious to the other titles that actually have good gameplay and/or a story? xP

Well to be honest, we could always jsut tell him to ignore the masses of spin offs and just play FF7.. The game itself is fantastic, and I don't want to put it lower in my opinion just because they've milked it to death and gave it a bad look to fans. |
