I'm going to be honest with you guys...I came across this forum all of ten minutes ago and haven't actually thoroughly checked it out yet. My sudden decision to join resulted in an intense mental duel between the rational side of my brain and the impulsive side. My rational half said "No, you should look around first and see if you like it," but my impulsive half countered with "But, dude...Final Fantasy Forum." So, Rational Evan reminded me that it might be full of evil masterminds and elitists who are bent on destroying my self-esteem, to which Impulsive Evan responded "But dude, it's a Final Fantasy Message Board." I must admit, both sides had a strong argument, but Impulsive Evan was right in that this is, in fact, a Final Fantasy Forum and must be, by default, one of the greatest places on the internet.

So...here I am. I don't see why I wouldn't fit in here, anyway. Final Fantasy is, quite literally, my passion when it comes to video-games. Halo and Legend of Zelda are nice, but who wants to play either of them when you can watch an angsty hero with a party of miscellaneous warriors cut a bloody swath through an entire continent with nothing more than a sword and some Magical Spells? Granted, you can find that in a lot of RPG's, but darnit, nobody does it better than Final Fantasy!

That aside, like I said, my name is Evan. I'm an ex-First Class SOLDIER (seriously, I was in Nibelheim the day Sephy trashed it, I swear) who enjoys writing, Roleplaying, writing satire, anime, and watching mind-numbingly horrible movies for no other reason than the hours of laughter it gives me. Ordinarily, I'm not a very impuslive person. Really, I'm pretty shy a lot of the time, so I was surprised at myself for joining up here without looking around first. Still, I'm sure I'll do just fine once I establish myself as a reasonably intelligent person who doesn't mindlessly gawk over OR bash FFVII (say what you will, but IX remains my favorite; VII is tied with VI for second).

Heh...thanks. Yeah, I'm a bit of an overachiever when it comes to posting, especially in RPG's that I join, though I believe in quality over quantity so don't expect me to post horribly often at first. Anyway, I'll do just that. Woohoo! I made a friend! *FF Victory Fanfare*

Why would it bother me? I'm really not that kind of person. Generally, I try to be tolerant of everyone except terrorists, serial killers, rapists, and Linkin Park. Everyone else is okay with me. *thumbs-up*

Meh...I can excuse a FEW accidental murders, just as long as you didn't kill any kittens or orphans. That'd just be inexcusable...Anyway, I'll check out the Shoutbox a little later. I generally don't use those features on forums, but I guess it's worth a shot.
