Digitally Coloring Manga/Lineart

I have noticed that many members who hang around forum GFX sections, including here, limit themselves to making only signatures and (sometimes) avatars.

I personally enjoy making signatures and avatars, but I also enjoy coloring manga and lineart. It's a lot different from making signatures and avatars, but it's pretty fun, in my opinion; especially as you begin to color in eyes from scratch and add shadows, light, and tones to skin and hair.

Another fun aspect to coloring is that you can use your colorings in signatures, avatars, and other pieces of the like. You can also add a nice pattern or texture to the background in order to spruce it up a little.

I never really found coloring discouraging, since the results are often pleasing, as long as you don't venture off into making shadows too quickly or are careless/sloppy.

Is there anyone else in this section who shares my interest, or who plans on practicing in the future? If anyone is interested in learning, there are quite a few tutorials on deviantART, although I've been planning to make a coloring tutorial of my own that produces fairly pleasing results and doesn't involve complicated steps.

I've never colored manga before, but I color in my own lineart on Photoshop :3
I love seeing tutorials of how to color, and just seeing different and new styles & techniques :D

I generally stick to one style though, and I change that once every 2 months or so xD

Although I, personally, don't color in manga or drawings, I have a friend who draws her own manga and colors it in on photoshop. It's early days yet, but I think she'll get to be quite good at it ^^

A lineart is simply the "lines" for a picture to color.
Like in a coloring book :3

Like in manga, it's all in black & white and I know some people like coloring manga pages, and some just draw their own to color, or get others to color their lineart.

Or you can find pre-drawn linearts and color xD

I can't for the love of God work out how to colour anything.
Seriously, I wouldn't know what shade to colour different things and probably the most important thing...I wouldn't have enough patience xD
It's like when I started vectoring earlier, I did the hair/face and got bored and gave up D:

I doubt I could do anything of the sort since I know I would forget to shadow the folds of clothing and disregard the shiny areas of a face or something, but yes, I'd like to just do simple colourings; I don't even know where to start on colourings and what to do in PS CS2

If you have the tutorials and such, please share!
