I voted X-2 because it isn't great like the other games, the story is too short and it can get annoying at times. I don't hate it though, it just doesn't live up to the other FF's in my opinion.

And who the hell has been voting FFVII as the worst game?

I am shocked that FFVII has been getting so many bad comments in this as well... Especially in the first page of this thread. I can't beleive it!

I think the issue is that they're so fed up with the spin-offs and over milked series of FF7 that they then go on to criticise FF7 as well.. Forgetting that FF7 was easily one of the most playable, exciting, magical and memorable gaming experiences one could ever have.

Crap characters? (As I have read in some peoples comments) Has it got crap characters? I mean come on guys, realy? It has one of the most varied cast of main characters ever, each with interesting, sad or heartbreaking stories behind them, and thats not mentioning the character design, which is fantastic... Even minor characters such as Don Corneo and Bugenhagen were realy, realy, realy brilliant and helped the game come together...
Also.. The music was like magic to the ears.. A true master peice...
The mini-games were fantastic... I mean we were even given a theme park for christs sake!

Whereas X-2 (What I voted for) was pretty naf... I guess I could have expected it, it is a sequal and sequals rarely work on the same level as the originals. But I dont know... I missed half of that game because I didn't know you were allowed to visit other places other than the main places, unless asked to in case it would mess it up... So I didn't see most of the game I'm afraid.. But that game was a bit like FF meets Charlies Angels... Was quite painful in some parts.

I didn't really mind X-2 simply because I thought it was still passable for a Final Fantasy game, and that was good enough for me.

Crystal Chronicles however was a mistake from the planning stages. First off, it was repetetive, were barely any Final Fantasy references, and I simply abhor that game with everything inside of me.

FF X-2 i just did not like the story line at all, and i hated revisiting EVERY place.

I want to say that it might be crystal chronicles, but that's merely based off how good the rest in the series are. Actually, X-2 is worst.

Yeah, it is surprising that people don't like VII - well no, not really tbh.
You see, these characters don't appeal to everybody, they certainly don't appeal to me - the game was depressing throughout, the whole feeling, atmosphere. Gameplay was poor too.

I’m going to have to follow the crowed and say X-2. I don’t think it is just the worst FF game but it is the worst game I own (though to be fair I only have a couple awful games (I’m very picky when I buy games)). I feel It ruined Yuna and Rikku’s characters (for me anyway) and has damaged my fond memories of FFX………… I can never for give Square Enix for it………… unless they make a good sequel to VIII, then all will be forgiven.
