The Next Game...
I would like the story line to be IN Depth and very interesting with a good range of Character development, like X.
But, also a a good amount of Mini-games/Sidequests to keep me interested even after I beat the original story, like within XII
Do any of you agree? What do you think should exactly be in the next game? Explain.

I think the next game should be innovative. FF12 tried to branch out into a MMORPG setting to be innovative, but that wasn't so seeing as how it's been done before. I think Square-Enix is trying to be inventive and creative in their new products, but their creations end up being more annoying than revolutionary. Recycling old ideas won't make the next installment successful; proper character development, new systems and twists, and new designs will make the next game great.
Really, if all main characters had spiky blonde hair and emotional problems, then Final Fantasy would be remarkably boring. At least Squall was a brunette, right?

Of course, a remarkable storyline and characters are very important, with major twists here and there. I'd want the world to be unique in its own way and the soundtracks as good as the earlier series. Humor added (whether it be some parts of the story or the characters itself) in general would be cool as well.
Interesting mini-games, chocobos, moogles, and a non-linear world map where you could explore the world... would be ideal for me. Sure, sometimes players get lost, not knowing where to go...but at least everything is open for you and gives you a chance to actually know that particular world.

-Bashes you-
...Not. xD I'm actually hoping for some romance too, even if just a little. FFVIII was a little too much, but I still loved it anyway. FFIX and FFIV were both perfect for me.

me too, it makes the characters more interesting
i'd also like the main character to be more important to the storyline, because vaan and penelo wernt.
and an interesting villain, who's goal isnt to takeover the world and be really evil

Screw love stories. If I wanted to immerse myself in a love story, I'd go read a romance novel.
Personally, just, plenty of sidequests/minigames - too little, and I'll get bored.
Storyline, cannot be generic. I'm sure SE can concoct some form of original storyline.
No random battles is a given too. Go back to them, and well, you've gone and tarded yourself.
Placebo, there was always Vayne in FFXII...sure, he wanted power, but he wasn't as generic as people before him, who wanted to destroy everything.
Main character wise...do not make it into a character who has major psychological issues. We've had enough super emos, I don't want anymore. Ohwait, when I think about it, there's only been like 2 major emos - Squall (who I luffs), and Cloud (who I hate). Still, their emoness put together is horrendous. Burns my virgin eyes.
More FMV's dedicated to cutscenes which deserve more graphical love.
..
I think I'm done. OH - please include hot older male villain plzthxbai <3

I want to see old espers make a comeback (Midgardsormr, etc.)
And no weird grid to gain abilities. I hated the Sphere Grid, I didnt mind the Dress Sphere Grid, but the Liscence Board has no place in my heart. I'd like to see a progressive character development like in FFII, but only with weapons and magic.
And they should bring Moombas back. I loved those little guys.
