The 4th Top-Selling Franchise

Well, according to this article, Final Fantasy is the 4th Top-Selling Franchise in their study. I'm glad it made it to the top five 
What do you lot think of this? I never realised that Mario was so popular :\

If Final Fantasy had been around as long as Mario then I imagine it would have been first or second on the list. I can't believe Pokemon made it as number two. The only people I know of that play Pokemon are my fellow forumers. But almost everyone I know of online and offline own at least one Final Fantasy game.

Mario is a pop culture icon. Mario is just as recongized as Micky Mouse.
No, I'm not surprised Pokemon is on that list either.

I'm fairly happy with the list ^^ Sure I'm not exactly pleased pokemon is number 2 since I've never liked pokemon, but it certainly isn't surprising.
Always remember that anything having to do with these words; 'interaction, cartoon/anime, card game tie-in' will most of the time mean instant gold. Mario's cool. I have no problem with him 
FFVII is my favorite game and FF is my fave franchise so I'm pleased it made it as high as it is ^^

I'm surprised Zelda is as low down as it is, i expected it to be in the top 5 at least....
Final Fantasy being the 4th most sold franchise of all time really is amazing, and shows just how popular the game is
and im not surprised Pokemon is on the list, i remember the Pokemania that swept the world in 1996-8..it was EVERYWHERE.

I am surprised Zelda isn't rubbing shoulders with final fantasy on that list, oh well, mario being at the top is no surprise to me either but pokemon being there, I don't know how that worked out.
Kinda funny though, pokemon had an episode that made 600 japanese kids have a seizure!

I can't stand the Sims. It gets infuriatingly boring after a few weeks of playing the game, and the reason they sell so many games is because they require you to buy an expansion every time you want new content.
But Pokemon I'm cool with. That pretty much is the king of RPG games, after all.

I have to agree with most on Zelda, I’m absolutely shocked that it’s not higher on the list. However, Mario doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s had an almost five year head start on the rest of the competition and there’s a hell of a lot more Mario titles out there then the rest, so it’s no surprise that it’s overall sales are 2 - 3 times higher.
Overall, I’m happy to see that Final Fantasy made it somewhere on the list...

That's a pretty neat list, I think I would have to agree with most of it. Except Final Fantasy should be number 2! I agree with Mario, The Sims and GTA though. I love all of those games and they definitely deserve to be in the top five. It's great to see that FF made the top five list, woohoo!  I do think it should have beat Pokemon though considering that FF has been around longer.
