XII's soundtrack is such a disappointment, considering Sakimoto did so much better in Tactics. There's hardly any moving or epic pieces in XII, most of it is so bloody ambient you forget it's even there.

I downloaded the Lost Odyssey OST, and I must say, it's excellent. He's gotten back into the swing of things. His OST for Blue Dragon was good...but alot of it was really reminiscent of tracks he did for AC and other FFs. I'm talking I could point out sections in the song that were THE SAME as other songs, save for a key or two. But Lost Odyssey stands out fairly well and he's back to his old epic self.

Now, onto the topic. No, I don't miss Uematsu. I'm not playing FF anymore now that it's turned into a festering pile of anime DBZ shit leeching off fans. And since Uematsu is composing for Mistwalker, I'll just dl the new OSTs he makes. Besides, I think his talents are better suited to a better company.

I'll have to agree with the majority here. While FFXII had good music, it didn't really strike me as memorable. I think the only music I can honestly recall was the first opening scene before it shows the Game Menu. Now that was pretty damn cool and had that battle epic feel to it.

But I still miss Nobou's work in the FF series. Most of the music he's composed are just memorable for me.

Nobuo Uematsu did not leave Square Enix. He is actually composing for FFXIII along with Masashi Hamauzu. It's just he's kinda been off on his own. He actually composed the main theme for Super Smash Bro Brawl too.

Nobuo Uematsu is an amazing composer in my opinion. I own FFIV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX soundtracks. His music is memorable and outstanding.

XII soundtrack was alright, I have a couple of songs from it, but it sure wasn't as memorable as some of Uematsu's work.

I was disappointed with FFXII's soundtrack, so yes...I miss his influence. The soundtrack is extremely important. If FFXII had some more memorable songs, I may have played all the way through.

Nahhhh! It sure would've helped, though.

I actually liked FFX-2's music, because I think it accurately fit the game and it was very lively. As far as FFXII goes, I can't remember a single song from that game, so the soundtrack is very unmemorable for me. I think Uematsu's music was far more inventive and emotion evoking.

Wow, guess what I'M going to say? No really, guess?!!!11

Yeah, I thought this soundtrack was kick arse compared to some previous ones. So shoot me. I like an awful lot of songs on here, for instance the music from Phon Coast, Dalmasca Estersand..etcetc.

I miss him! You can definitely tell that he had absolutely nothing to do with FFX-2 which is why the music really sucked

Well, I agree with many, FFXII's was good, but not that outstanding, as revious ones... Other than that, i do miss him a lil', but nothing too great.

I wish he hadn't left as well.

I would go find FF piano scores after hearing his songs in
