Classes of the Villains
Simply put, if you had to assign a preexisting job/class (no making them up) to the villains in Final Fantasy what would they be? You should probably explain some of the less obvious choices. Here’s what I think:
FF1: Garland: Knight possibly followed by Dark Knight after he became evil.
FF2: Leon: Dark Knight because he is called by that title within the game.
Emperor Mateus: Some kind of mage possibly a summoner because he constantly summons allies during your battle with him.
FF3: Xande: Black Mage.
FF4: Golbez: Black Mage.
Dr. Lugae: Chemist and/or machinist because of skill with science.
Zemus: ?
FF5: Exdeath: Mystic Knight because of his skill in physical and magical combat.
FF6: Emperor Gestahl: Black Mage because he casts Meteor and fire based spells.
Kefka: Black Mage.
Ultros: ?
FF7: Rufus: ?
Sephiroth: Samurai simply because of the Masamume.
Hojo: Chemist because of similar reasons as Lugae.
FF8: Seifer: Knight because he refers to himself as so, then again he might be a Dark Knight.
Ultimecia: Time mage for obvious reasons.
FF9: Queen Brahne: Summoner because she summons things.
Kuja: Red Mage because he casts both white and black magic and he doesn’t use staffs or staves.
FF10: Seymour: Black Mage/Summoner.
FF12: Vayne: Monk because he fights with his fists.
Cid: Machinist because of his skill with machines.

Brahne only did that after extracting the summons from Garnet. Before that I would class her as...well 'Quina' class (She's fat)

FFIX
I agree that Kuja is a red mage.
And for that matter, so is Necron.
FFX
I wouldn't classify Seymour as a summoner. He only had the ability to summon Anima because his mother gave him that power. Otherwise, he was unable to summon any other aeon.
Seymour relies solely on magic. I call him a red mage.

Zemus....Well he's Lunarian....I don't remember, I think Zemus is a red mage.
ExDeath - Hrmm I wouldn't say he's a red mage. I can't remember him using any beneficial white magic spells. His attacks are non elemental. A Mystic Knight uses elemental attacks. ExDeath is just a power Black Mage a with high attack power.
Gilgamesh (FFV) he's a Blue mage, White mage and uses normal attacks.
Rufus....As a Gunner? Well considering he has a pet with him when you fight him, Dark Nation, I would say Rufus is more of a Tamer/Hunter class. Which is a class you basically have control over a pet, and use long range weapons.
Ultimecia is a Time mage, but she surpasses a Time mage. She is able to create her own Guardian forces such as summoning Griever. She is able to junction people. Rinoa and Adel, and Ultimecia and Griever.
Queen Brahne as a summoner? Sorta...Brahne was temporarily a summoner. She's definitely not the same race as Garnet or Eiko. Brahne extracted Garnet's summons and used the stone that contained the Eidolons.
Seymour - Yes, Rhea is correct. Still, he's somewhat of a summoner even though he can only summon Anima. Seymour is a Red mage. Seymour uses black and white magic.

Yes he could cast white magic, but the only white magic spell he had is Holy.

Holy? That's barely a white mage. Even though holy is white magic it's still an attack magic. It's just like saying Seymour is a Summoner because he has Anima. Seymour is barely a Summoner. Same goes for ExDeath, he's barely a white mage.
