Cid, Marlboro, Gysahl Greens , Kupo?

Yep we probably all love some of FF's famous trademark characters, enemies, items, abilities and sayings...

Which ones are your favourite and why?

Which one you could live without?

And maybe some new suggestions and ideas?

Hmm, how bout a new revamped version of the dancer/bard class, releasing some deadly riffs on an electric guitar? Or inflicting badass status effects whilst doing some heavy screamo & moshing?.....

i could absolutely live without marlboros because no matter how strong you are, if you dont have something to prevent status ailments...any random battle with them could be your last. they're so annoying i cant stand them, but honestly...i wouldnt be able to stand a final fantasy without them so im pretty impossible to please

Moogles are really cute but I only like the classical moogles. The moogles in the new Final Fantasy games just....don't look right. :/

My favorite Final Fantasy trade mark character though are Cactuars. Just the idea is so comical and cute. A angry, spastic, little cactus attacking you with 1,000 needles. I had fun encountering them even though in FFVIII they kept running away. >:/ It was fun battling Jumbo Cactuar. Even in FXII they were really cute.

IMO a Final Fantasy isnt a complete Final Fantasy without the trademark chocobos, moogles or Cid

They have to be present or IMO they arent complete and just seem empty lol.

Final Fantasy wouldn't be the same without Chocobos! They are one of my favorite things about the game, they're adorable. Moogles are another trademark to the Final Fantasy series that I would miss if they were taken out. They are an awesome little critter with a lot of intelligence. I like Cactuars but they can be very annoying in battle since they pretty much run away every time.

Then there is Cid, I don't really care if they kept Cid out or not really. I suppose it wouldn't be the same without him thought since there has been a Cid in pretty much every game so far. Oh and Malboros? They could be taken out of the game for all I care, I can't stand those things because all they do is make your party go crazy. Too many status ailments! They are quite a pain in the butt!

Ditto, i could live without them. Anytime i see a malboro i run like hell. They just scare me T_T

Double ditto, i hate the new mousy looking moogles (or the KH moogles). Gimme Mog or Stiltzken any day.

And the recurring FF trademark i like most is the tonberry

The moogles are uber cute and fun and such, but there's just something about being scared to death of a tonberry waddling up to you but going "awww" at its cuteness at the same time ^^ After the tonberries come the moogles though, i love those guys too.

As for suggestions...in FF games we've occasionally seen Tonberries that speak right? Well in a future FF game i'd like to actually visit a tonberry society, see how they function and stuff. But none of those godawful atrocities from XI, i refuse to accept that those hideous scaly things are tonberries

Niiiiiice idea!

How bout a Marlboro society, on second thoughts no.....

I agree that the moogles in XII aren't up to the classic standards, but they are ok.

I quite like Bombs as well, only fight them if you think you'll defeat them in 3 moves....or BOOM!

Ya know...XII didnt just make moogles less cute, but they made malboros wimpy tiny monsters.

Hmm, i'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but i quite like the overworld map and airships too.

Yeah, in all FFXII has changed a lot of typical FF trademarks, totally different moogles, no overworld, so you can't use your airship properly, wimpy marlboros & cactuars, no tonberries, no chocobo side quests and no trademark summons, what is the world coming to.....?
I did enjoy immensly though, not as a 'proper' FF, but as a really good game
