In fact, sad to say...but I have no inkling, whatsoever about my family back story...mom or dad's side.
Someday I'll know though. I'll make sure of it.

You should read the book When the Elephants Dance by Tess Uriza Holthe. It's a novel containing the stories of three people during WWII in the Philippines. It's a good read, although the style can be a little too didactic - the author sidetracks way too much just to explain certain Filipino cultural nuances that only needed a few words to define them.

Also interesting to note is that the author of this book has never been to the Philippines! She wrote it based on the stories she'd hear from her parents.

oh sorry bout that. I'll try talking more English here for now. feel free to ask me help about the language if you have alright.

anyway friendster is a social networking just like myspace. Filipinos prefer it more and we're the most populous users in that site.

Question about Friendster...did the site originated in the Philippines or something? And I hardly used Friendster ever since I found out about Myspace. =/

Eisprinz, I'll be sure to check that book out when I stop by at the library this week. That sounds interesting.

Friendster is just like myspace

most of the filipinos have friendster rather than myspace

cause myspace is usually for americans

nope it's created by an American. I actually tried myspace but up to now I still haven't got that confirmation code.

friendster loads faster and it's easy to use. it's got the taste of Filipinos that's why everyone has an account if you ask them.

We usually have family reunion during Holidays. There's always a huge party with men drinking and gambling, children all over the place, and lots of folks singing on the karaoke...myself included. xD Then it'll give you a score towards the end and everyone goes crazy about it. It's really fun.
